Infant Program
Infants (6 Weeks - 18 Months)
The Montessori Method focuses on the holistic development of a child, through the right environment and care. We offer the Montessori Infant Program, designed with our youngest learners in mind. Our Infant Programs are modeled after Maria Montessori’s concept of “Nido” or “Nest”. The “Nido” concept inspires the feelings of warmth and safety which encourages the infants in our care to explore their environment confidently.
Rooted in the Montessori Method, our Infant Program supports the whole child through a nurturing, thoughtfully prepared environment. Inspired by Maria Montessori’s “Nido” or “Nest,” our classroom is designed to feel warm, safe, and inviting—encouraging infants to explore, grow, and discover with confidence.

The Prepared Environment
Our Infant Program provides a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and supported as they grow.
What We Focus On:
- Gross and fine motor development
- Hand-eye coordination
- Early language and communication skills
- Social interaction and bonding
- Building confidence and independence
Our trained teachers create age-appropriate activities that help each infant reach important developmental milestones while enjoying a caring, secure environment.

Ample Classrooms
The rooms are designed with ample space to enable the children to practice gross motor skill movements such as rolling, scooting, crawling, and walking. To promote the advancement of a child’s motor skills, furniture items that restrict activity are eliminated from the classroom, such as walkers and playpens. Instead, we employ various simple techniques to enhance their development.
- Soft floor mats and bolsters cover the floor to ensure safe free movement and gross motor skill development of the children.
- Well-positioned mirrors for self-discovery in a fun way.
- Various safe furniture and walls mounted with low bars to help small ones to stand.
- Educational materials to stimulate curiosity and exploration.

Encourage Inquisition
We have a different set of supportive environments for older infants who have newly discovered their walking or movement ability. We have various means to encourage these highly inquisitive children.
- Cognitive sensorial materials like puzzles, shapes, sorting, and activity walls.
- Various sensory activities involving water play, paint, and items with varied textures.
- Attractive, simple toys to help children practice gross motor movements such as push, pull, etc.

Supportive Environments
We provide a host of amenities in comparison to the other daycare facilities such as:
- Low lying furniture specially designed for young ones to give them a sense of independence when choosing materials to work with.
- A comfortable nap area where children can safely rest.
- A soft-surfaced outdoor play area with numerous attractive pieces of equipment for playing.
- Multi-seat buggies for fun rides in and around the school.
Parent Communication
Partnering With Families
We believe open communication is the key to supporting your infant’s growth. Our team works closely with families to create a comfortable, “home-like” environment and ensure a smooth transition from home to school.
How We Stay Connected:
- We learn your child’s routines, feeding habits, sleep preferences, and temperament to provide personalized care.
- Daily updates are shared through the Procare Engagement App, including meals, diaper changes, naps, teacher to parent messages, and school updates.
- For urgent needs, we encourage families to call the school directly.
We welcome your questions, phone calls, emails, and participation in parent-teacher meetings especially for first-time parents.
We are honored to be part of your family’s journey and to help your infant grow into a confident, happy toddler.
An Infants Day at Our School
Every child is unique, and so is their daily routine, which has a more or less fixed time for basic things like eating, sleeping, and playing. Upon enrollment, parents will receive an Infant Needs and Services Plan. This document is to outline the infant's daily routine. Prior to the infant’s first day of school, the parents and teacher will meet to go over the plan and design a program around each child’s specific needs. In this way, the infant’s home and school day will sync for consistent care.

Teacher to Infant Ratios
Our Infant Classroom Promise: We are committed to providing consistent, attentive, and high-quality care for every infant in our program.
In our Infant Room, we ensure:
- A strict 4:1 ratio — no more than 4 infants per teacher.
- Maximum of 12 infants with at least 3 teachers present at all times.
- A dedicated Lead Teacher overseeing the entire learning and care process.
- Ongoing transparency — ratios are always followed and communicated openly.
- Frequent communication with families, led by our Lead Teacher.

Feeding
In our Infant Classroom:
- We are fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and bottle warmer to ensure all meals are safely and properly prepared.
- We prepare age-appropriate foods—including finger foods, jarred meals, homemade purées, formula, and breast milk—according to each family’s instructions.
- For breastfed infants, we encourage introducing bottle feeding before starting in our program to help ease the transition.
- As infants begin moving beyond bottles, our teachers gently support the transition to age-appropriate cups to promote independence.

Sleeping
Safe & Peaceful Sleep Environment: We understand how essential healthy sleep is for infants, and we’ve designed our nap area to be calm, quiet, and comforting.
Our Sleep Practices Include:
- A peaceful environment with minimal noise and a soothing atmosphere.
- Individual cribs for infants under 1 year.
- Cots for infants 1 year and older to support the transition from infant to toddler.
- Collaboration with families to use familiar routines and techniques that support each child’s sleep habits.
- Gentle sleep-training support—our teachers may begin with pacifiers or rocking for new infants, gradually helping them gain the confidence to fall asleep independently.
- A commitment to self-regulated sleep: children wake naturally, and we never interrupt their rest.
- When infants arrive asleep, teachers carefully assess whether to let them continue resting in their carrier or transfer them to their crib so they can wake up comfortably.
Our goal is to help each child develop natural, healthy sleep patterns in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Our Programs
Book a Personalized Tour
Students are admitted on a first-come, first served basis, subject to availability at the selected school. When you tour the school you will have the opportunity to observe children in the classroom. Seeing the classes in session is important and will help you understand how our classrooms work. We will also explain Montessori philosophy and answer any questions you might have.
